Fiberglass cut-back
The failing top four inches of fiberglass were removed, exposing the gap beneath the deck for wall backfill and repair.
Millersburg, Pennsylvania · Residential pool

The existing condition
The top four inches of the existing fiberglass shell were failing. The pool needed repairs at the wall perimeter and a prepared surface for the new membrane termination before installation could begin.
Field execution
We cut away the failing top four inches of fiberglass, backfilled the walls, skim coated the surfaces and prepared the perimeter for termination installation. After fitting the felt protection layer, we installed 70-mil RENOLIT RELIEF membrane in Adriatic Blue across the walls, floor and steps. At the homeowner’s request, one light was covered and the rope hooks were cut off. The finished interior was kept plain blue, without depth markers, break stripes or contrasting step nosings.
