Ferguson Aquatics offers reinforced PVC membrane for select residential renovations where a field-welded waterproofing system provides a better fit than a conventional replacement vinyl liner.
Reinforced versus conventional
A membrane system—not a factory-made bag liner.
Traditional residential vinyl liners are commonly manufactured in the 20–30 mil range and fabricated offsite to fit a measured pool. They remain a practical finish for many purpose-built vinyl-liner pools.
Reinforced PVC membrane is a different assembly. RENOLIT membranes combine flexible PVC layers with internal polyester reinforcement and are typically supplied in heavier 60–80 mil classes. The material is fitted and heat-welded at the pool, allowing the installer to build around the actual shell and its details.
